Water heating can account for 15-18 percent of the average VIC energy bill. It’s possible to reduce these costs by upgrading to a more efficient hot water system. The VIC government is committed to helping VIC households and businesses reduce their energy costs. We are helping you receive rebates and discounts under the program for replacing your old inefficient gas heater or installing a brand new air conditioner and for replacing an existing gas/electric hot water system with a more efficient one. One of the main reasons for providing the rebate is to reduce your energy use which results in a reduction to greenhouse gas emissions.
